The new harvest, and a new home online
For most of its life, Marian Estate was a place you had to know about to find. The coffee left the hill in bulk, under other names, and what happened between the canopy and the cup was somebody else's story to tell. This site is our attempt to change that — to put the estate, and the people who work it, in plain view.
The timing is deliberate. The new season's coffee is coming off the slopes now: the washed Arabica first, drying on the raised beds, then the naturals as the weather turns. It is the part of the year the whole hill organises itself around, and the best moment to open the doors.
Nothing about how we work has changed. Everything is still grown under native shade at 3,500 feet, and still roasted, blended and packed at origin — so the value, and the accountability, stays on the estate. What is new is simply that you can now see it, ask about it, and order it directly.
We will write here now and then — when a lot is ready, when the spices come in, when there is something from the hill worth passing on. If you would like to hear when that happens, join the estate list below. A few emails a year, never more.
